Thomas Edison and Emile Berliner
The most famous audio format war was between Thomas Edison and Emile Berliner, both of whom invented competing types of records for the phonograph. Edison first pioneered the wax cylinder in the 1880s. He originally intended it as a means of recording telephone conversations, but the cylinders soon became a popular format for musical recordings. Berliner, meanwhile, released the disk record as a competing format in 1894. Disks had originally been used solely in children’s toys, and in the beginning their sound quality was poor. But after several technical modifications, they were able to rival Edison’s cylinders in sound quality, sparking a format war that would last nearly 20 years.

Purchase power of the new modern girl
I bought a computer for the wife tonight. I laptop to be specific. Sure, she had one but it was broken. Now she will have a new one with the Windows 7 operating system. And that is how life works. A laptop breaks and a new will replace it. The whole world just keeps on clicking along.

Ducks
If you give it some thought, ducks have it good. People that are striving for all the finer things in life end up with boats and airplanes. Ducks can navigate the air and water whenever they want. If you go to a nice place like a resort on a lake or a golf course, who beat you there? Ducks, they are going to be there. If you like to spend time in the woods hunting....oh this one is not so good for the ducks. If you have the money and ability to go south for the winter you will, ducks already do that every year. Yep, ducks have it quite good.

Better Choices
First there was playing with the radio
Then talking on the phone
and now text messaging, all by people driving cars.
-- I don't think the roads are safe for a motorcyclist.

Discussion.... Valentine day celebration....
With Valentine Day nearby... Its time to start thinking about ideas for the V-day... I think there types people celebrating v-Day(type means categories of people all over the world) They go as :
1) True Lovers... who wish to tie the knot in the very near future :
Expectation of the opposite sex : Lover should try to meet atleast with a Rose & Romantic Greeting card ( & gift if possible) followed by dinner/lunch if time permits... Best gift is to spend as much time as possible with your date and try to please her/him. possibly make him/her laugh and share some light moments... The expectataion is not much in this case... as the commitment has been shown a long time back.. now the only part remaining is maybe how well one behaves and ofcourse celebrating the day for the name of it!!! Always remember never ask what he/she wants... be the best judge...
2) Passing Affair... couples who dont know what they want... or are just afraid to engage in permanent relationship...:
If celebrating the V-daythis would be a grand affair offcourse... as one would be still trying the to impress each other... and the gifts or the dinner/lunch might not be extravagant but it would something that one might want to make a memorable...
3) Blind Dates... Met over the Internet/phone/mail and decide to meet on this V-day and make it special( They themselves dnt knw wht would happen):
Be Prepared. You never know what might be the outcome. I think have three plans in mind... agree to meet at a neutral place where your plans might not be made to obvious... If have seen each others photos.... try to size up the date... and dress appropriately as per your intiution of the date's likings. dont be too formal.... worst way to spend the V-day. be yourself... will help you avoid a lot of problems later on... ;)
4) Couples to be married and engaged by their families consent...( please refer as arranged marriage) ... :
This is the most tricky part of the relationship... You are engaged to someone that your family decided upon and though your consent is taken( just for formality)... it an odd position to be in... (One of my friends, happens to be in this situation.. and he is the reason for this post!!!) For these couples... I would say... First clear your minds and think... what you want... A typical husband wife relationship of the 1820's or a bit rational and eventful married life... It is you who as decided to marry... and not your parents or relatives... so think of it... you are going to marry a person who has primarily said all the gibberish about yes... we will do as you say... and we will together try to make this marriage a success.. etc. Stop... This is not what you should think or do...You are two people about to embark on a new phase in life!!! Others are just interested in getting you two married and reaping the happiness out of it. so decide... how would you like your partner to feel about you? That he/she has just come from one routine life to another??? where things just happen as clockwork and there has to be signoff from concerned parties before each and every action!!!! naah!!! wake up buddy... The reason for ranting so much about the above is... get your self in the valentine day mood... plan something to show to your partner that you would really care for her/him... give some sign of affection and not the usual I am the boss attitude... some thing do happen only once in life and try to enjoy this... There will be crazy ideas and thoughts shared.... but you decide what you want... by saying freedom is present doesnt mean you have freedom!!! Live in country that gives freedom to its citizens... and then analyze how much freedom do you really get... there are lot of restrictions... marriage would bring them on... so get up and plan and have blast at the first Valentine day wit your to be spouse!!!
5) Just Married couples... :
They are tooo busy to worry about spending the day!!! for them every day is Valentine day... :)
6) Married couples... :
Experience is their guide... but just to be good whatever your problems... dnt split up or fight on this day.... atleast for others celebrating this day :

The mystery of the six pound underpants.
Why would a dost weigh more at work than he weighs in his home? 1 or 2 lbs. is reasonable but he claims that there is a 9 lb difference between the scales that are a mere miles apart. This just does not make much sense.

Pizza Hut...
The $10 Deal!!!! Dear friends, recently I had the $10 Pizza with 'n' number of toppings and have decided that this is the last time I will eat anything in pizza hut that has deal attached to it!!! The pizza was the worst ever made pizza!!! The pizza was only half baked!!! and the toppings were so scarce that a chicken pizza with atleast 5 toppings looked like a cheese pizza with onions in it!!! All this would have been forgiven if the the taste would have been good or at least passable!!! but no.. the taste was the worst part of the deal!!! Please stay away from this deal!!! I am posting this deal after verifying with 2-3 families(as bachelors are hardly trusted :) )There would be people saying that what you pay is what you get!!! But wait... isnt a promotion supposed to be something very good given at a discount price??? Of course then quality is expected!!!!... Please feel free to comment and share your experiences... It moght be limited to only one Pizza hut outlet... but who knows????
Welcome!!!
Success is what most are after!!!(Money always follows) So Lets start with the Blue color which depicts the success or victory blending with calmness...(atleast according to me!)
